Are you a good fit to apply?

Prospective applicants should meet the following eligibility criteria:

  • Currently employed by a nonprofit organization in Central Texas.
  • Program managers, program directors and/or staff responsible for managing and supporting the collection, analysis and use of program-level data are encouraged to apply.  
  • The annual budget of your organization should ideally be at least $250,000, with at least two full-time paid staff members.
  • In a position in which you have influence over, and/or the authority to implement program-level and/or organizational changes based on what you learn through the Academy.
  • Support from your manager to be out of the office for 6 class days (two full days; four half days) and the final event.
  • A desire to strengthen yourself as a leader and deepen your ability to serve as a data and learning champion within your organization.

Additionally, please note:

  • The program is NOT designed for those who already have deep knowledge/background in evaluation (e.g. those who have provided professional evaluation services in the community, those with advanced degree in the fields of data/evaluation).
  • Priority selection will be given to participants from Central Texas grantee organizations of Good Measure partners, including: 
    • Andy Roddick Foundation
    • Applied Materials Foundation
    • Genevieve and Ward Orsinger Foundation
    • Michael & Susan Dell Foundation
    • St. David’s Foundation
    • United Way for Greater Austin
    • Webber Family Foundation.

What is the Data Leaders Academy?

  • A nine-month program hosted by Mission Capital and designed for nonprofit professionals who want to become true data and learning champions and build an organizational culture that regularly uses data to amplify impact.  
  • Innovative curriculum draws on the experience of data and evaluation experts
  • You will walk away with practical materials, real-world advice and key strategies to help you succeed as a leader and more effectively support your organization in leveraging data to help transform lives.
  • Includes a combination of in-person learning sessions, small group mentoring, applied learning field trip and professional development stipend.

  • March 14, 9:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
  • May 2, 9:00 a.m. - 1:30 p.m.
  • June 6, 9:00 a.m. - 1:30 p.m. 
  • August 8, 9:00 a.m. - 1:30 p.m.
  • September 12, 9:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
  • October 17, 9:00 a.m. - 2:30 p.m.

Good Measure/Data Leaders Academy Final Event
November 13 or 14

What is the Cost?
The Academy is provided at no cost to participants. All costs of this Academy are being underwritten by Good Measure, with programming provided by Mission Capital.
