A New Format for Data You Can Use
Earlier this year, we shared that February marked our last full, synchronous offering of Data You Can Use (DYCU). Since then, we’ve been reimagining what DYCU can look like moving forward. We have new ideas for how to learn, connect, and practice together — but we can’t do this alone.
This fall, we’re launching the DYCU Evaluation Lab, a five-part “design camp” where participants will both learn and co-create. Over the course of 15 hours (five, 3-hour sessions), we’ll revisit the core DYCU content, try out new ways of delivering material, and reflect on how this program can continue to serve community needs.
Session Dates (all mornings, 9 am - 12 pm) & Content:
November 7 In Person
November 14 Virtual
November 21 Virtual
December 5 Virtual
December 16 In Person
Each session will include a mix of learning and building upon your existing data and evaluation skillset and co-design. Together, we’ll explore:
Community-driven approaches to evaluation, including participatory planning, budgeting, and consensus-building.
How DYCU has made an impact for past participants — the positives as well as the gaps that need to be filled.
Needs and priorities for our data and evaluation community in having access to resources like this foundational course.
Who this is for:
If you are interested in any of the above focus areas, this offering may be the perfect for you.
We’re also specifically inviting DYCU alumni to join us — and to bring along one other participant you think would benefit from this experience — but this is an open invitation to our community. If you have attended previous Good Measure programs and want to dive deeper into your data and evaluation journey (through a community-driven lens), while also providing insight on future Good Measure offerings, this is for you!
As a thank you, participants will receive compensation for their time and contributions. This amount will be determined by the participants themselves through a participatory budgeting process. Portions of the sessions may be recorded for future use, but participation can remain anonymous.
The DYCU Evaluation Lab is about more than revisiting content — it’s about building the next chapter of DYCU together. Registration closes October 29th. We hope you’ll join us this fall in shaping what comes next.
