Transforming Philanthropy Through Data and Collaboration
FUNDER LEARNING COHORTS
Join the Good Measure Funder Programming
Funders play a pivotal role in our data and evaluation community, serving as key partners who have the ability to shape system requirements, advocate for new and innovative values, and address nonprofit feedback. Good Measure Funders are widely regarded as trusted allies, known for fostering understanding around the challenges of data collection in a nonharmful process in the nonprofit environment.
Key Topics We Explore Together Include:
Valuing diverse forms of data, including qualitative insights and storytelling
Harnessing our collective power to drive systemic change
Offering thoughtful funding to support strengthening nonprofit evaluation activities.
How It Works:
Our funder programming evolves annually to meet the changing needs of our partners. These offerings are designed to promote learning, collaboration, and insight across the philanthropic community. Past programs have included:
Quarterly “Lunch and Learn” sessions: A space for shared learning and discussion
Collective unlearning cohorts: Opportunities to redefine traditional approaches through dialogue and reflection
Coaching circles: Personalized support for funders navigating challenges and opportunities
All employees of foundations, corporate donors, family foundations, and individual donors are warmly welcome to participate in these initiatives. Together, we’re building a community dedicated to growth, collaboration, and meaningful impact.

The transformations that Good Measure has already made and continues to explore demonstrate that the work to center community is important, complex, and possible. For example, we as funders are not in the best position to determine what offerings would be most beneficial to nonprofits and need other voices as the decision-makers.
But we are situated and have a responsibility to impact our own philanthropic community, change our own practices, and influence the perspective and practices of peer funders. The changes associated with becoming a more community-driven and equity-focused collaborative is an ongoing journey, and I am excited for the road ahead.
