Good Measure ‘Evaluation Funds’: What you need to know

Good Measure’s funding for nonprofit evaluation projects relaunched this August and is open until October 10th! This cycle has a new name and a stronger focus on increasing community-led equity centered evaluation in Central Texas nonprofits.

So what does this mean?

Good Measure has offered grants to organizations for multiple years, and our community voiced the importance of the continuation of this funding. This year we created space for past grant recipients to share their expertise and individual experiences throughout the Good Measure application and reporting process. These transparent feedback sessions provided guidance on how we could shift the granting process to remove barriers and to truly benefit the Central Texas non-profit community.

Now called the “Evaluation Funds”, we are taking the Good Measure definition of “community-led, equitable evaluation”, practices that engage those most affected by the issues being addressed in the design, implementation, and interpretation of strategic learning and evaluation activities”, and putting it into action.

This includes changes to the Request for Proposal, the application language/requirements, changes to the way grantees are selected and the reporting format for selected grantees. By making these changes, we are excited to create a more seamless and accessible process for both applicants and selected grantees.
